Dear Church Family:
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you…Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful” (John 14:27). Jesus said that at a time when His followers were faced with economic challenges, disease, threat of war and persecution. His word was true then and it is still true today: Cling to His peace and don’t be afraid.
We’re going to want to cling to His promise over the next few months. The coronavirus is spreading and impacting our lives and our world in ways we never thought possible. This is a serious challenge, but we can go through it with the peace of Jesus.
I met this morning with several of our church leaders to discuss our plans for the current Coronavirus crisis. We have been monitoring the situation closely and have decided to cancel all services, meetings and activities from Saturday, March 14 through Saturday, April 4 (see Governor Kemp’s request below).
I will send info next week about future plans. Please share this announcement with others in our church, especially those who may not have internet access or use social media. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Pray much…and love others by washing your hands!
