First Baptist Church Oakwood
‘Virtual’ Sunday School and Bible Study
During this time where we can not meet together at the church building it is still important to continue study the Bible to hear the voice of Jesus, to still have fellowship even though it is remotely, and grow in our faith in Jesus or Lord and Savior. If you are in an adult class that uses the Explore the Bible literature and do not have access to a printed quartely I will post the focal passages for each week’s lesson until we can meet again. I am looking forward to resuming in-person classes when Co-VID infection rates are low enough to be safe*; until then I encourage you to visit other class members by telephone or email. I would also suggest meeting in virtual classes using apps such as the Zoom app and Facebook Chat.
Since the buildings are either already cleaned or are being cleaned of mold and mildew, I am hoping we can begin in person classes soon. I will need your prayers and volnteers to restart in person Sunday School/Bible study. A tentative schedule would be to start a children’s worship during or worship time beginning with Advent (Sunday, November 29) with a saparate Sunday School hour for all ages to start by the beginning of January. If you are interested in helping with restarting Sunday School contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
